Alias for the MCP stdio proxy: @valorbrain/connect.
npx @valorbrain/cli help --jsonThat JSON is the contract. If a blog post or README names a subcommand that is not in this object, the command does not exist.

Commands
init --agent [--agent-caller <platform>]
Creates a shadow tenant and a vb_agent_ key. See Quickstart.
init --email <address> [--otp <code>]
Binds the existing key to an email via OTP. The key does not change.
identify <platform>
Idempotent agent_caller backfill. Self-declared, never sniffed.
add <text> / --file <path>
Stores a document.
| Flag | Maps to |
|---|---|
--collection <name> | collection (default depends on server; pass one if you care) |
--title <t> | title |
--type <t> | content type (decision, observation, problem, lesson, milestone, handoff, note) |
Calls POST /documents. Body is stored verbatim — no translation.
search <query>
| Flag | Meaning |
|---|---|
--collection <name> | Restrict to one collection |
--mode auto|keyword|semantic|hybrid | Retrieval mode |
Calls POST /search with compact: true.
list
GET /collections.
status
Local config plus GET /health on the REST host.
mcp [--token vbm_…] [--url <mcp-url>]
Stdio ↔ HTTP MCP proxy. @valorbrain/connect is this command as its own
package, so stdio clients can run:
{
"mcpServers": {
"valorbrain": {
"command": "npx",
"args": ["-y", "@valorbrain/connect", "--token", "vbm_…"]
}
}
}The MCP token prefix is vbm_, not vb_agent_. Mix them up and the MCP host
will reject you.
help [--json]
Human text, or the machine surface.
On-premise (Enterprise)
